The screening will be followed by a screen talk with Paris-based director, Raed Andoni and LPFF Patron, Karma Nabulsi.

Mahdi Fleifel Shorts + Q&A

4:00PM – CURZON SOHO

Five multi-award winning short films by Danish-Palestinian filmmaker Mahdi Fleifel, made between 2014 and 2017, will be screened in one rich afternoon. The multi-bill will be followed by a Q&A between Fleifel and film critic, Kaleem Aftab.

Recollection + Q&A

6:00PM – BARBICAN CINEMA

Filmmaker Kamal Aljafari resurrects memories of the Jaffa he grew up in in his technically challenging and visually poetic film, Recollection. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Aljafari, hosted by Director of Forensic Architecture, Eyal Weizman.

Kamal Aljafari Masterclass

Berlin-based film-maker Kamal Aljafari will discuss the ideas, images and technical processes that have lead his filmmaking path. Sign up for this unique masterclass with the renowned filmmaker.

One Minute & The Tower + Q&A

Animated saga The Tower will be preceded by short film, One Minute. Both films are based on true events and will be followed by a Q&A between The Tower director Mats Grorud and academic & author, Dr. Dina Matar. This event is co-hosted with HOPING Foundation.

Cinema of the Palestinian Revolution + Panel Discussion

6:10 PM – INSTITUTE FOR CONTEMPORARY ARTS

Recently restored to pristine quality, these five films from Palestine’s revolutionary era will screen in this memorable evening. They will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Azza El Hassan and academic Dr. Anandi Ramamurthy.

3000 Nights + Q&A

6:30PM – CURZON SOHO

Inspired by the stories of the many Palestinians who were born in prison, this gripping feature film will be followed by a special discussion with director Mai Masri and author and academic Dr. Adania Shibli.

Ayny & A Magical Substance Flows Into Me

Jumana Manna’s epic documentary about the musical history of Palestine will be introduced by historian Hazem Jamjoum. The documentary will be preceded by animated short, Ayny.

Bonboné & Dégradé

This double-feature session presents two fiction films, Bonboné and Dégradé, cinematically reflecting absurd realities of Palestine.

Larissa Sansour Sci-Fi Trilogy + Q&A

Visual artist Larissa Sansour is known for her otherworldly and cerebral visions of Palestine’s future. This exceptional triple bill will be followed by a discussion with Sansour.

One packed ticket allows for a full afternoon of award-winning short films followed by feature documentary, Gaza Surf Club.

A Very Hot Summer & Ambulance

This free, un-ticketed session focuses on Gaza with short film A Very Hot Summer, followed by feature documentary Ambulance co-hosted by Medical Aid for Palestinians. Everyone welcome.

Us, Children Of the Camp

Join us on our closing night, hosted by Hoping Foundation, for a screening of Us, Children of the Camp. The screening will followed by a discussion on the visibility of Palestinian refugees, lead by Hoping Foundation co-founder, Bella Freud. This event is free and un-ticketed, everyone is welcome.
